Use computers and exciting new technology to make portfolios and multimedia presentations while receiving credit in Biology, Environmental Science, and English. CASEE is a unique program for science and environmental education locate don an 80-acre site in Brush Prairie. Choose the project you want to study, and use the high tech resources and on-site professionals to complete your project. Hands-on lab areas include two ponds (created by previous students), wildlife habitats, nature trails, greenhouses, an organic garden, and many areas still being designed.
Time: Two hours daily, full year.
Credit: Three credits for a full year.

AIR FORCE JUNIOR RESERVE OFFICER TRAINING CORPS

Successfully manage the entire Corps during the year while putting theories of leadership into practice. Those theories include application in the areas of communication, decision making, personal interaction, managerial and organizational skills. Students also work on citizenship, developing responsibility and learning about the aerospace age and careers in the aerospace industry. Students, who successfully complete this program, are eligible to enter any branch of the military at a higher pay grade than other enlistees. College bound students may receive an Air Force Academy nomination or an AFJROTC scholarship, if qualified, directly through their Air Force ROTC unit. AFJROTC students have more than 470 scholarships reserved for them which pay for three to four years of tuition, books and fees at many colleges and universities.
Time: One hour per school day, full year.
Credit: One or two credits per year.

FIRE SCIENCE (FIREFIGHTER CADET)
Skills emphasized include fire suppression, fire prevention, public education, emergency medicine and all aspects of the fire service. Graduate will finish the program with First Aid and CPR certifications. Successful completers may receive advanced placement credit through the Portland Community College Fire Science Program and Lower Columbia College, Kelso.
Time: Two hours daily, full year.
Credit: Two credits for a full year.
