
Travel and Hotel Management
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Students enrolled in this class will learn skills to be successful in the Travel and Hotel industry. Specific job opportunities will be explored: Front Desk Agent, Guest Services Representative, Reservations Agent, Room Attendant, Travel Consultant and Airline Attendant
During the first year, of the program students will learn the essential skills to enter the Hospitality industry. Field trips to local Hotels and Travel sites will be part of learning, as well as internships that can lead to employment in the Portland/Vancouver area Hospitality businesses
In the second year, students will learn supervisory skills and can enroll in our Work-Based Learning program. Opportunities for employment throughout the United States and abroad are possible through this chosen career.

Lodging curriculum is endorsed by American Hotel & Lodging Association and supported by Clark County Lodging Association. Travel Curriculum is endorsed by American Society of Travel Agents. Students can participate in state and national competitions through WA state Hotel & Lodging Association and Skills USA.
