Home School Dates and Facts

All Skills Center programs are available for home school student enrollment, see "How Do I Enroll in the Skills Center?" below.

Course Enrollments 2011-2012 School Year

Benefits of attending the
Clark County Skills Center

Students who attend the Skills Center are exposed to many  benefits that other students may not receive, such as:

  • Earning college credit!
  • Obtaining industry certification!
  • Participating in on-site internships!

In addition, home school students can:

»earn required occupational education credit for graduation

»earn high school credits, and

»earn equivalency credits for certain academic courses

You will also gain valuable skills at no cost to you, and 

You will save money on college tuition and other training!

How do I enroll at the Clark County Skills Center?(return to top of page)

Enrollment criteria for home-schooled students:

  • Must be 15 years old, and/or have a high school junior or senior standing

Enrollment Options:

  1. Guaranteed enrollment in selected programs (contact Skills Center)

    -OR-
  2. Sign up on waiting list (final decision by March 26th)

    -OR-
  3. Enroll through "resident" high school (sending school)

Enrollment Process:

  1. Complete a Skills Center application

  2. Provide a copy of the "Intent to Home School" form (filled out at your district office) prior to first day of class.

  3. Complete the Washington State Department of Health Certificate of Immunization status form - return to Skills Center prior to first day of class.
